We are a big fan of open standards, and follow the same OpenAPI specifications as the ChatGPT Plugin system. Due to this, any plugin you build for ChatGPT or Embra is automatically compatible with the other - you just have to ensure authentication is handled.
Your plugin is an API you develop and host. You then create a manifest file and OpenAPI specification. For detailed instructions, please read OpenAI's instructions and make your plugin work for both systems! We will then email you directions to install it into Embra.

Users control their AI and their data at all times. Your plugin will not get any automatic access to user data, and your full plugin specification is available for them to see. To identify specific users you will need to implement an OAuth system yourself and be transparent with your users.
Yes, you can build custom plugins yourself, keep them private, and only deploy them to your coworkers. Please note: AI queries currently go through the ChatGPT API, and data is thus shared with OpenAI. We are building in more foundation models over time — including local and corporate-hosted models — so you can keep data constrainted entirely to your systems later on.
